Art of the deal?
After meeting with Vice Premier Liu He, President Donald Trump announced late Friday that the United States has come to a substantial first phase of a U.S.-China trade agreement.
The deal is expected to take a few weeks to write. It will cover intellectual property, financial services, and agricultural purchases.
Soon after, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced that next week’s planned tariff hikes will not happen.
The Dow Jones popped more than 350 points on the news.
