Thanks, capitalism!
Once again, the cost of a Thanksgiving feast for 10 people is at a multi-year low, which means you can gobble up the savings and feast on more for less.
According to the 34th annual American Farm Bureau Federation survey, the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner in 2019 is estimated to be $48.91, the lowest it has been since 2009. This includes:
– Turkey (16 pounds): $20.80
– Milk: $3.10
– Stuffing: $2.68
– Sweet potatoes: $3.75
– Green peas: $1.49
– Fresh Cranberries: $2.66
– Veggie tray: $0.79
– Pumpkin pie mix: $3.32
– Pie shells: $2.52
– Whipping cream: $2.08
– Rolls: $2.50
– Miscellaneous ingredients: $3.22
It should be noted that this bill could be even lower if you go on a hunt for bargains or sccop up private labels.
So, this Thanksgiving, be thankful for some greater savings.
