On Wednesday afternoon, Paul Krugman posted a strange tweet, claiming that his IP address had been compromised to use it as child pornography.
He wrote on Twitter:
“Well, I’m on the phone with my computer security service, and as I understand it someone compromised my IP address and is using it to download child pornography. I might just be a random target. But this could be an attempt to Qanon me.
It’s an ugly world out there.”
Krugman later deleted the tweet and clarified that it may have been a scam.
Deleted original tweet. Times thinks it may have been a scam. Anyway, will have more security in future

As someone joked on the thread, he seems to have concocted a story that stole two separate instances from Kurt Eichenwald who was caught watching tentacle porn.
