The World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland has been the same as it is every other year. Not even President Donald Trump could make it interesting. The elites were always gonna elite – how could you expect anything different?
But there was one instance on Thursday that saved the event from being a complete snoozefest.
It all started on Wednesday when Greta Thunberg demanded the world divest from fossil fuels, from no longer exploring to no longer consuming, right now – not next year or in a decade. It this level of maturity you would expect from a teenager.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin was asked about her comments and made an excellent statement:
“Who is she? Is she the chief economist? After she goes and studies economics in college, she can go back and explain that to us.”
As Ed Sullivan would say, hiyooo…
Thankfully, someone finally put her in her place.
Good job, Sexy Steve.
