News Story of the Day: The January jobs report came out and it was better than what the market had anticipated.
The U.S. economy created 225,000 new jobs, which beat the estimate of 160,000. This is also up from the 147,000 jobs in December. The unemployment rate edged up to 3.6 percent as more people entered the workforce. Average hourly earnings rose 0.2 percent to $28.44 and the labor force participation rate edged up to 63.4 percent.
The employment gains were found in education and health care (72,000), construction (44,000), leisure and hospitality (36,000), transportation and warehousing (28,300), and professional and business services (21,000). The losses were concentrated in just four sectors: manufacturing (12,000), retail (8,300), utilities (1,400), and finance (1,000).
The Federal Reserve-manipulated boom is still going strong!
Chart of the Day: Can starting work in a recession affect your entire life? Apparently it can, according to data compiled by The Economist:

Quote of the Day: James Fite, editor-at-large of Liberty Nation, has been killing it lately with his articles. His latest article, “Beam Me Up, Scotty,” is impressive:
“After the histrionics of the last few years, it should be clear by now that the anti-Trump crowd would vote for pretty much anyone – or anything – other than the Orange Devil himself. After all, he stole the election from Hillary (never mind that she took it from Bernie). He stole the idea of a border wall from the Democrats circa 2006-2009 and his child immigrant cages from Obama (never mind that they no longer recall this stance). Now President Trump has stolen the Starfleet logo for his own ridiculous Space Force.
Is it any wonder that Democrats say they’ll vote for literally anyone other than the thief in chief? Even the tens of “moderate” supporters of Joe Biden would vote for Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) if he were the only non-Trump option – though a dead cat might be better.”
Tweet of the Day: A fact-check that disputes its own fact-checking? That is so CNN. But that is what the Counterfeit News Network’s Daniel Dale did when he attempted to prove President Trump wrong during yesterday’s remarks. Check this tweet out:
Ummmm…….
“(CNN) Former FBI Director James Comey testified Thursday that he orchestrated the leak of accounts of conversations with President Donald Trump because he thought it might lead to the appointment of a special prosecutor to lead the Russia investigation.” https://t.co/DuKEp7e4gp pic.twitter.com/Sd50PNPptn

CNN can’t even get fact-checking right…
Video of the Day: Senator Richard Blumental (D-CT) claimed that he had a tear in his eye when Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) voted to convict President Donald Trump. But was that a tear or just sweat? Either way, this is excellent political theater…
