It would be a miracle if Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) made it through the Democratic primary or even the general election victorious. She is fending off a lot of challengers, including members of her own party who are trying to unseat her.
The latest individual to try to oust the disastrous rookie is Former CNBC correspondent and anchor Michelle Caruso-Cabrera.
The network’s longtime personality filed on Monday and will leave her role as CNBC contributor for the entirety of the election.
Caruso-Cabrera said in a statement:
“I am the daughter and granddaughter of working class Italian and Cuban immigrants. I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful career and I want everybody to have the opportunity that I’ve had. That’s why I’m running.”
Surprisingly, despite being a registered Democrat for many years, Caruso-Cabrera has been a skeptic of government and an advocate for the free market.
The primary is scheduled for June 23.
At a time when the nation is so divided, the country needs AOC in Washington for the comedy gold she spews.
