No, this is not a headline from The Babylon Bee.
It was another rough night for Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). In the New Hampshire primary, the Native American senator received single-digit support on Tuesday night, and many analysts are calling her campaign dead. But it’s way too early for such a statement.
That said, to assure viewers at home that she was in this primary battle for the long haul, Warren told MSNBC that an indebted college student had $6 in her account and she decided to give the senator $3.
Here is the clip:
A young girl came up to me tonight and said, “I’m a broke college student with a lot of student loan debt. I checked and I have $6 in the bank—so I just gave $3 to keep you in this fight.” We’re staying in this fight for the people who are counting on us. pic.twitter.com/AetWhpTJqT

Don’t believe it? Yeah, it probably didn’t happen. But it is worse if it did happen. She is worth $12 million and she decides to take half of a kid’s life savings?
Ouch.
