Did you hear? Calling the Wuhan coronavirus the Wuhan coronavirus is racist!
Yep.
According to a whole bunch of blue checkmarks on Twitter, including MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, somehow describing that Covid-19 originated in Wuhan is terribly racist.
This doesn’t make any sense, though. Perhaps it is virtue signaling or part of some opportunistic social justice crusade. But every news organization in the world, including MSNBC, CNN, and Chinese media companies, called it the Wuhan coronavirus until the World Health Organization officially designated it as COVID-19.

It is absurd. It’s like saying the Spanish Flu or the West Nile Virus is racist.
