Could the U.S. government pay Americans to go back to work? That is something President Donald Trump and his administration are exploring, says White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow.
Kudlow told The Wall Street Journal that Senator Rob Portman (R-OH)’s proposal of a $450-a-week bonus for unemployed workers returning to their jobs is being considered.
Since he does not believe Congress will approve another $600-a-week in unemployment benefits, Kudlow believes this might be the next best thing.
Put simply, the government is bribing the public with their own money to go back to their jobs (if there are any left) to pay the upcoming immense tax bill.
Where the heck is this money going to come from?
