The retailpocalypse is accelerating in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic. After years of an industry in decline, the sector may be on its last legs.
Last year, more than 9,300 stores closed their doors. So far in 2020, more than 8,000 retailers have shuttered. A new forecast suggests as many as 25,000 could shut down by the end of 2020.
