Would you like some ketchup with your beetles? As the globalists’ fatal conceit compels them to micromanage your lives and nudge you toward a lifestyle that they find acceptable, a new culinary trend has formed in recent years: Insects. From roasted beetles to cockroach milk to grasshopper snacks, the ruling class is promoting sustainable diets that would eventually substitute your cow and chicken intake. The elites have fired the first shots in their war on your dinner plate, using Mother Nature as a scapegoat.
Fido Eats Firefly
Nestle’s Purina brand is releasing a new line of pet food that uses insects as its key protein ingredients as part of its efforts to incorporate environmentally sustainable protein sources into its products. Your Golden Retriever or Shih Tzu could now be munching on black soldier fly larvae in the bowl of Purina Beyond Nature’s Protein. Nestle joins several other smaller brands, such as Yora and InsectDog, in offering insect-based and livestock-free foods. The goal is to explore new proteins amid limited natural resources and sliding meat consumption across Europe.
The World Economic Forum was ebullient over the news, writing that if maggots and cicadas are “good enough for the four-legged members of the family, would you be prepared to give it a go?”
“Cats and dogs aren’t the only animals that can thrive on an insect diet – their owners can too. Many people around the world already eat insects ranging from beetles to locusts and moths, both as daily staples and sought-after delicacies,” WEF stated.
A Buggy Industry
Is this the beginning of the explosion in the edible insect market? It is already a booming industry in Asia, but the demand is starting to stretch to Europe and North America. The market is forecast to become a $4.63 billion industry by 2027, thanks to a plethora of insect-based products, including beverages, protein bars, shakes, and confectionaries.
The sudden interest in insect-based foods in the western world could be attributed to the coronavirus pandemic’s impact on the broader meat industry.
The COVID-19 public health crisis has seriously harmed supply chains worldwide. Distribution, transportation, employment levels, and even private investment financing are contributing to the growing challenges in the sector. And this, of course, is increasing households’ grocery bills. Since the summer, Liberty Nation has regularly reported on the international food crisis that could paralyze the planet and increase commodity prices that would lift inflation to enormous levels for consumers worldwide.
But the globalists’ promotion of insect-based diets has been ongoing for the last couple of years. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, for example, has averred that insects will be an essential source of nourishment to ensuring food security for a growing population.
LN’s Onar Am reported in August 2019:
“This is not the first time the UN has proposed changes to our food to save the planet. In 2018, a team of scientists suggested replacing meat with insects. Beef is at the top of the food chain and, therefore, highly energy-intensive. By comparison, insects are incredibly efficient and can produce a protein-rich diet with much fewer resources.”
A Side Of Crickets
It is hard to envision the world’s power players munching on a plate of locusts and crickets as they vacation on their yachts and sip on champagne. Much like the limousine socialists, they will not practice what they preach, choosing to dictate to others what they can have in their refrigerators and insert in their digestive tracts. It is the quintessential philosophy behind the fatal conceit, thinking they possess the intelligence and power to know what is best for you and your family. What gives them this capability?
In their view, the central-planning mini-Maos justify their actions by doing it all in the name of saving the planet. Control is warranted, edicts are tenable, and tyranny is reasonable because it is for the greater good. Just do not expect Klaus Schwab, the World Economic Forum’s founder, to feast on a plate of centipedes. That kind of meal is only for the peasants. Let them eat bugs, indeed!
