As the politicians, bureaucrats, and medical experts celebrate locking down the country and usurping power, half of the country is in financial distress. And a $600 stimulus check is not going to cut it.
According to a new OnePoll survey, commissioned by World Finance, 55 percent of Americans described 2020 as “a personal financial disaster.” It makes sense since millions lost their jobs and were told to “stay home and save lives” unless you were protesting some progressive cause du jour.
As a result, one-third do not have the funds to cover a $400 financial emergency.
More than half the country has listed “rebuilding savings” as their top New Year’s resolution, followed by becoming debt-free and creating an emergency fund. Nearly two-thirds say they plan to take a second job in 2021 to help stay afloat.
On average, Americans need $10,726 in savings to feel financially secure.
“Ringing in the new year provides the opportunity to reflect, learn and plan for financial resolutions as we look ahead to 2021. We encourage Americans to take advantage of available financial literacy resources to create manageable budgets that fit their immediate and long-term needs,” says World Finance President and CEO Chad Prashad in a statement.
Great work, Dr. Fauci.

I am 65 and retired. The biggest problem with Americans is they do not know the difference between a need and a want. They want it and they do not care what it costs, as long as they think, they can afford the monthly payment.
“half of the country is in financial distress. And a $600 stimulus check is not going to cut it.”
Did I miss something? Did half the country lose their jobs? Add thousands of dollars to their credit card debt in the last 10 months. If $600 is not going to cut it, what makes these idiot politicians, think $2,000 is going to be the magic bullet that will make everything better, it will not.
