According to Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, it is more important to be morally right than factually correct.
This is becoming clearer as she is continually exposed for her lies, whether it is lying about where she was during the Capitol Hill riots or now her comments about Senator Ted Cruz.
Here is the setup. She recently tweeted (emphasis ours)
“I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out.
Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed.
In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign.”
When she was asked about this, she denied ever saying it:
“Yeah, so that’s not the quote and I will not apologize for what I said.”
How embarrassing.
Perhaps she meant that she tweeted it and she did not actually verbalize it. Who knows?
