The Ministry of Truth in Washington is putting out some interesting propaganda.
During a White House press briefing, Press Secretary Jen Psaki made the claim that the administration has “long-anticipated” hot inflation would occur as the U.S. economy reopens.
“We take inflation incredibly seriously; it is, of course, under the purview of the Federal Reserve. This is something…the vast majority of the American public supports,” she said.
“But I would note we take it seriously, we watch it closely, and the Federal Reserve, who has a purview, has predicted, or put a forecast, that we expect to go up a bit this year. We’ve long anticipated that, but to come back down to normal levels next and those are the projections.”
Come on, man!
Nobody in Washington anticipated inflation. In fact, both the White House and the Federal Reserve rejected concerns about inflation.
