Well, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just wasted $610 million to hold an election nobody wanted, and the results did not produce much change in Ottawa.
Trudeau and the Liberals will hold a minority government, while the Conservatives will be the Official Opposition.
But perhaps the most interesting component of the 44th general election was another photo of Trudeau in blackface / brownface surfacing on Election Day.
From the National Post:
Canada Proud, a conservative-leaning advocacy group, posted the previously unseen photo to its Twitter page on Sunday night, in which Trudeau is seen smiling widely, tongue sticking out, dressed in a white turban and robe, with dark makeup on his face.
Canada Proud has been a long vocal critic of Trudeau and outspoken on their agenda to deny the Liberal leader another term in government. “Canada Proud is a grassroots group of Canadians working to defeat Justin Trudeau,” their mission statement reads.
The photo has caught the attention of several international media publications, with British outlet the London Daily Telegraph being the first to break the story, followed by reports published in the Daily Telegraph, Reuters and Yahoo News.
The photo is the latest throwback to a 2019 scandal during which two unearthed black-and-white photos and one video of Trudeau wearing the makeup and costume to a 2001 Arabian Nights school costume party prompted immediate public outrage and a subsequent admittance and repeated apologies from the prime minister.
Why is it that the left is always caught being racist?
