Black Friday deals have come to Wall Street!
The World Health Organization (WHO) has discovered a new COVID-19 variant, warning that it has been heavily mutated.
Cases have been found in Botswana, Hong Kong, and South Africa. Belgium also confirmed on Friday that it has reported cases of the variant, which experts say is likely to be named Omicron.
WHO’s special emergency meeting spooked the financial markets as nearly everything was deep in the red.
At the time of this writing, here is where the markets are:
Dow Jones: -2.68% to 34,845
S&P 500: -2.35% to 4,590
