You know U.S. intelligence has become utterly useless, paranoid, and delusional when it accuses Zero Hedge of being a Russian agent.
A new report claims that Zero Hedge and several other financial news websites are disseminating Russian propaganda.
Here is an excerpt from the original Associated Press report:
“The officials said Zero Hedge, which has 1.2 million Twitter followers, published articles created by Moscow-controlled media that were then shared by outlets and people unaware of their nexus to Russian intelligence. The officials did not say whether they thought Zero Hedge knew of any links to spy agencies and did not allege direct links between the website and Russia.”
The popular financial website dismissed these ridiculous allegations, writing:
“The bottom line is that such hit piece accusations that we somehow work with or for the Kremlin are nothing new: we have repeatedly faced similar allegations over the years, and we can absolutely confirm that all of them are ‘errors.'”
Zero Hedge is perhaps in the top ten best websites on the Internet today.
As the Brits say, are you taking the piss?
Is CNN’s Brian Stelter at the head of the intelligence community.
Of course, if you’re not regurgitating U.S. propaganda, you must be a Russian agent!
