In case you missed it, Pfizer President of International Developed Markets Janine Small admitted last week that Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine did not stop transmission.
“Regarding the question around whether we knew about stopping immunization before it entered the market, no,” Small said. “We had to really move at the speed of science to really understand what is taking place in the market and from that point of view we had to do everything at risk.”
Because there was some confusion, the Toronto Sun reached out to Pfizer Canada for clarification.
Here is the company’s response about the transmission (emphasis ours):
“Our landmark phase 3 clinical trial protocol published November 2020 was designed and powered to evaluate efficacy of BNT162b2 to prevent disease caused by SARS-CoV2, including severe disease. The pivotal BNT162b2 clinical trial met two critical endpoints including the efficacy end-point which is prevention on of confirmed symptomatic COVID-19 infection and the secondary end-point was prevention of severe disease. The BNT162b2 (Comirnaty) trials were not designed to evaluate the vaccine’s effectiveness against transmission of SARS-CoV-2.”
But now the so-called fact-checkers are trying to gaslight you. The mainstream media outlets are claiming that the vaccine was never meant to stop transmission.
This is a blatant lie.
From CDC Director Rochelle Walensky to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow to President Joe Biden, everyone claimed from the very beginning that the vaccine would prevent transmission.
But here is an actual statement from Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla from a December 2020 interview with CNBC (courtesy of the great great great Tom Woods):
“And I want to tell them that their decision, they need to understand, will not affect only their lives, which at the end of the day is their judgment, but will affect the lives of others. Because if they don’t vaccinate, they will become the weak link that will allow this virus to replicate. So I want to send the second message for those that are reluctant maybe to do a vaccine, and they need to understand that this decision, unfortunately, in this case does not affect only their health. Unfortunately, by making this decision, they will become the weak links in the way that the virus is transmitted and they will enable the virus to live there and they will risk society’s health rather than [their] own health….
Secondly, in the beginning, when fewer of the population is vaccinated, we should not, I think, relax — and I’m sure the authorities will not relax — all the other measures that are needed, like social distancing. masks, etc. But the more we vaccinate and the more we create herd immunity and the more we create the majority of the population being protected, then the less, I think, the other measures will have to be implemented. And as a result, the economy will open.”
So, no, the media can lie to the public and tell them that the vaccine was never meant to stop the spread of COVID-19, but everyone has the receipts.
These people cannot be trusted.
