British Prime Minister Liz Truss will be stepping down after just 44 days of serving as head of state, the shortest reign in the nation’s history.
She has spoken with King Charles III and tendered her resignation as head of the Conservative Party.
Truss will remain in her role until the leadership election is held and a successor has been selected.
But the opposition Labour Party is demanding a general election.
After so much chaos on 10 Downing Street, who can blame them at this point?
