President Joe Biden celebrated the death of Coal Country.
Speaking at an event in San Diego this past week, Biden purported that it is “cheaper to generate electricity from wind and solar than it is from coal and oil.”
“I was in Massachusetts about a month ago on the site of the largest old coal plant in America. Guess what? It cost them too much money. They can’t count. No one is building new coal plants because they can’t rely on it, even if they have all the coal guaranteed for the rest of their existence of the plant. So it’s going to become a wind generation. And all they’re doing is — it’s going to save them a hell of a lot of money, and they’re using the same transmission line that transmitted the coal-fired electric on. We’re going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar,” Biden stated.
First, on the economics of this issue, the rumors of coal’s death have been greatly exaggerated as prices have reached record highs. The world, including the United States, is turning to coal for power again because of how unreliable renewables have been during the energy crisis.
Second, this is a horrible political message, particularly in states with a hefty coal presence: Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan. Hillary Clinton uttered similar remarks in 2016.
Meanwhile, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) was livid, writing in a statement that the president’s remarks are “not only outrageous and divorced from reality, they ignore severe economic pain the American people are feeling because of rising energy costs.”
So, yes, Biden is laughing at thousands of people losing their jobs as he attempts to promote his green fetish.
Sad!

Not only that; he’s laughing at people having to pay more for the same amount of energy they were getting before.
