The military-industrial complex is now out in the open and championed by the Washington establishment.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who has apparently been given the OK to keep leading the Republican Party despite freezing in front of the press, recently took to X (nee Twitter) to tell the public that America sending billions of dollars to Ukraine is good for business.
Yes, he (or his team) actually wrote this.
“Standing with our allies against Russian aggression isn’t charity. In fact – it’s a direct investment in replenishing America’s arsenal with American weapons built by American workers. Expanding our defense industrial base puts America in a stronger position to out-compete China.”

Ouch.
So, a soaring national debt, a skyrocketing federal deficit, rampant inflation, a depleting military, and a slowing economy. And yet, the U.S. government can afford to ship tens of billions of dollars in aid to Eastern Europe.
This is the look that everyone gave after reading this X post:
Kevin Beck says
Is he admitting that ONLY the US war machine is benefiting from this? That what it appears to me.
Which means the rest of America is not seeing any benefit.
What an oaf!
We need to declare war–on the super-annuated geezers that won’t get out of Washington when their time has passed. People like McConnell, Pelosi, and Biden. All of them have been hanging around since I was high-school aged!
JRATT says
US foreign policy is a sham. Russia and Ukraine had a peace deal that would of avoided the war, but the USA talked (bribed) the leader of Ukraine into not making the deal with Russia. Then our government blew up the Nordstrom natural gas pipeline so the US could sell LNG to Europe. Look at all the trucks rolling in to Ukraine, taking them supplies because the country is a wasteland now. All in the name of profits for the military industrial complex.
