The Best of Milton Friedman

This morning, I was browsing around my YouTube page for work and I came across LibertyPen‘s latest playlist that feature’s 100 videos of the great economist from the Chicago School Mr. Milton Friedman.  For some reason, Friedman doesn’t get his proper accolades in the freedom movement as most libertarians, Ron Paul supporters and Austrian Theorists cite Hayek, Rothbard, Henry Hazlitt and others.

For those who have never read or seen Friedman, I believe this playlist will do wonders for you, especially if you’re quite interested in the economic theory that the retiring Texas Congressman Ron Paul has been espousing for more than 30 years.  I would also recommend the book “Free to Choose,” which also has an entire 10-episode documentary series and discussion – this can also be found on YouTube.

A lot of the “Free to Choose” episodes also features another brilliant man, Thomas Sowell.  Again, like Friedman, he doesn’t get his proper due, although he hasn’t been as influential as Friedman was in his endeavour to explain that government force and ineptness are the culprits of society’s inadequacies.

Here is a short clip and click here for the playlist link:
