IMPEACH: Times Square billboard urges people to sign petition to ‘Impeach Trump’

If former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush were not impeached, then why would Donald Trump be impeached?

Billionaire Democratic donor Tom Steyer has erected a new billboard in New York’s Times Square that encourages the public to head over to a website to sign a petition to impeach President Trump.

Until New Year’s Eve, for 10 minutes out of every hour, the billboards will direct passers-by to sign a petition calling for the president’s impeachment. The ad was unveiled on Monday.

With 350,000 people walking across Times Square every single day, this will attract a lot of eyeballs, but will hardly achieve anything.

Steyer’s campaign to oust Trump has cost roughly $20 million so far.

He told Bloomberg:

“We’re putting a couple of large billboards in Times Square calling for the impeachment of the president. We legitimately feel that this is the huge issue in front of the American people that no one is standing up for what the overwhelming number of Americans think.”

To date, the petition has garnered approximately three million signatures.

Even with six Democrats filing articles of impeachment against Trump last week because he says mean things on Twitter, it is unlikely that Trump will be kicked out of the White House. But this kind of behavior will only rally the Trump troops come Election Day, whether in 2018 or 2020.

Have the Democrats put forward any policies lately aside from transgender washrooms?
