It’s election season in both Canada and the United States. You know what that means? Expensive campaign promises, political lies and deception of the general public. But it’s just another day in politics.
John Stossel, host of the Fox Business Network show “Stossel,” looks at various political promises made by our beloved leaders that turned out to be lies. Some of the lies that Stossel takes a look at is the famous “If you like your healthcare plan you can keep your healthcare plan,” the 23-cent gender wage gap lie that just won’t die and Wal-Mart is terrible for the economy. Oh! Let’s not forget the sequester, a spending cut that increases the debt.
With more than a year away until the presidential election, you can certainly expect more and more lies and more and more grandiose promises that are just too expensive or will never see the light of day.
