How many times will the left compare President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler?
Speaking in an interview with CNN, House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) said that he is seeing parallels between the conduct of the Republicans and the Nazi Party in the 1930s.
He warned that the president, who is using the federal courts, could become a “dictator” if he successfully overturns the 2020 presidential election results.
“I’ve been telling people for a long time now, I’m beginning to see what happened in Germany back in the 1930s,” Clyburn said. “I never thought that could happen in this country. How do you elect a person president, then all of a sudden give him the authority to be dictator? That’s what we’re teetering on here.”
The problem is that Hitler won an election and then formed a government after being asked by Paul von Hindenburg. After attaining power, well, you know what happened next.
If Trump were this dictator that everyone on the left claims he is, he could have canceled all the elections and proclaimed himself as president for life.
Not everything and everyone you do not like is Hitler.
Two things can be true at once: Trump can challenge the election in the courts, which is not fascist, and he will most likely not overturn the result of the presidential contest.
