Is the United States in store for another lockdown under President-Elect Joe Biden?
Perhaps.
An adviser to Biden has previously submitted an idea to put the country under lockdown for “four to six weeks.”
Dr. Michael Osterholm was placed on Biden’s 12-person Covid advisory board. He appeared on CNBC on Wednesday and had this to say:
“We could pay for a package right now to cover all of the wages, lost wages for individual workers, for losses to small companies, to medium-sized companies or city, state, county governments. We could do all of that.
If we did that, then we could lock down for four-to-six weeks.”
He previously noted that the last lockdown from this past spring did not go far enough, writing in The New York Times that a lockdown “has to be as comprehensive and strict as possible.”
By now, it is clear that the Democrats and the media exploited the coronavirus to oust President Donald Trump. Trump and the Republicans exacerbated the nation’s insolvency to make it look like they were doing something. The American people suffered, businesses shut down, and there is no going back to pre-pandemic life.
If you were worried about COVID-19 in February or March, it’s understandable. If you’re still concerned about it today, look at the data.
